Northwest Fireplace and Chimney was founded in 2010 by Octavio De La Vega, who began work as a union bricklayer in Chicago more than 10 years prior. In 2004, Octavio transitioned into the chimney and fireplace industry and began working for a large company in Illinois, before moving to Valparaiso, IN. Northwest Fireplace and Chimney was founded out of Octavio’s strong belief in providing excellent customer service and expert craftsmanship, and that belief is still at the heart of service today.
As a company, we’re committed to providing our customers in Porter, LaPorte, and Lake counties with comprehensive, professional chimney and fireplace services, and bringing quality customer care to each and every interaction. This attitude and commitment to our customers has earned us the Angie’s List Super Service Award in 2014 and 2015, and an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
